It is said the  second coming of Christ is going to happen.  But when Christ rose from the dead after the 3rd day could that have been the second coming?

No, because that event, as significant as it was, doesn't meet the requirments of 1st Thessalonians, Chapter 4, vs 13 through 18. (I'd recommend a modern translation like New International Version for a more clear understanding, if you're interested).  There are many other references, Old and New Testaments, to the Massiach's return that must be met to fulfill prophecy...

The Greek word" pa-rou-sia",which has been, in some bibles translated as "coming",actually has a closer definition of "presence", which harmonizes better  with the context in which Christs disciples asked Him"what will be the sign of your presence and the conclusion of the system of things?,"refering to Christs enthronement as King in Heaven.Jesus reply, in Mathew chapter 24,strongly indicates the times that we are living in now
