And I would like to set it out either online or on a CD so that I can also add photos and print afterwards. Which is the easiest way of doing this and if a CD can anyone recommend the best. Many thanks all.

I believe most genealogy software packages will help with that. Or you could join one of the subscription websites and build your tree (or upload it) there. Not bothered to integrate photos with my data so I can't give specific advice. Sorry.
