I have a postcard which says on the back (in English) 'Epi-center pillar of Atomic Bomb & International Cultural Hall'. There is also a lot of Japanese writing. Now presumbaly this is a picture of either Nagasaki or Hiroshima, however when I've googled for these I find a toally black pillar at the epi-centre of Nagasaki (the one in the picture I've got is grey marble looking) and I can't find a picture of a pillar in Hiroshima at all, so where have I got a postcard of?

A search on International Cultural Hall does give this site, which says it is in Nagasaki (of coure there may be more than one hall with that name).

Could well be the Hiroshima 'Atomic Dome' remains of the Industrial Promotions Hall.
