Did the Allies use gas in WW1, or was it just the Germans?

just the germans used it first in the battle of ypres april 21 1915...

The British used it at the battle of Loos, but the wind changed, and many of our own forces were gassed, it was never used again by the Allies, but as for who used it first, in that, luckyboy is correct.

the brits and the french used chlorine. There are photos of it

the wind blew the wrong way and it blew back, and the Froggies told the poilus to shoot the fleeing Frenchmen.

The Great War is out on disc and i am sure that there is a prog on this which i remember when it was first broadcast in erm 1964  - i have a long memory.

it was also used in Caporetto high up in the alps with terrible results

Sorry, I never clarified, as Peter says, it was Chlorine gas, it resulted in over 2.000 british casualties, of which seven were fatal.

Which other gases were used?

Mustard Gas, so called because that's what it was supposed to smell a bit like. see here for more info on this nasty chemical used by Germany but not Allies during WWI.
