If anyone could shed some light on the following I`d be most grateful. Some 16th century tenant farmers paid an annual rental for `vert` or `greenhew`. What was `vert` or `greenhew`?
Many thanks.
Just asked my 16 year old daughter, who's taking A/AS level in History at College......she shouted down from her bedroom...."I don't have a clue, Dad".
