Who was actually responsible for the Holocaust? Was it Hitler? The Nazi leaders? The soldiers? Camp guards? The Germans who accepted that the Jews were persecuted? All Germans? Other countries that did not intervene?

the fact is it started long before the final solution,
the National Socialists took over with Adolf Hitler at the helm. Look up any good book on the Holocaust because it's too big a subject to discuss solely on here.

Johnny, maybe not, but many were complicit in giving their Jewish neighbours up for fear of reprisals.

I think the Jews were seen by many Europeans as being the cause of the financial crash and depression. Hitler particularly so. How he managed to manipulate the population towards the same end is unbeleiveable.
But at the end of it all, the vast majority of war criminals got away with it because the Allies were more intent on rebuilding, regeneration and reconcilliation. Unlike the Jews who, understandably, wanted revenge and retribution.

but as been explained, they were thought to have caused the German nation so many ills, that they were to be exterminated at all costs. Such a big subject to be honest to express the horrors of the holocaust
