History repeats itself because people are people. They are what they are, and they will never change. Genocide will happen again, and we can do nothing to prevent it happening. If the rulers of a nation see a need to eliminate 'opposition' to their rule, they will do all that they can to see to it that their rule continues. QED.

History repeats itself because of power claims, prejudice, fear and greed all of which are inherent in human nature. To prevent further genocides we must learn tolerance and equality and seek to work together with nations across the world speaking out against wrongs and seeking to protect the minority, weak and vulnerable with aid and resource
