Norbryght/Sunnyside, S Godstone
0 Answers
I am reearching the history of Le Grande Chene, Tilburstow Hill Road, S Godstone and noticed that someone on this site remembers it. It was previously LE Bonne Auberge restaurant, and before then the Falcon Country Club.
I have checked old OS maps and see that it was previously (in 1842, 1870 and 1910) called Sunnyside, possibly inhabited by a Gerald Beresford Webb, Howevr old electoraL registers say he lived at Norbryght and then Norbryght Lodge which was north of the railway.
I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything else about him or Sunnyside or Norbryght.
