While visiting St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle I noticed the symbol J after Edward II. What does J mean?

I think it is an I. Edward II is buried in Gloucester and it was Edward III you were looking at
The monument to Edward IV is inscribed Edward IIIJ (the final I given a flourish) as often seen in the Middle Ages, albeit usually in lower-case form.
