The greatest peace time PM, TGL, was born, later elevated to the top job by a grateful public and appointed to save our country from the 5C. She duly obliged, the medicine was harsh but it saved the patient. Now she DID clean up Dodge. Thanks Mags, the greatest ever English woman. Ok my 5C shield is up.

Fully agree. Took the overpaid miners to the cleaners and showed Red Robbo and his pals what they could do with their union demands. Saw off the Argies and raised the standard of living generally by some considerable degree. The last of the great PMs.

As one of the limp-wristed-liberals so despised by the Terrible Tory Troll, I have on here on several occasions expressed my admiration for Thatcher's character.

She was just in the wrong Party.
