Well, Aliens? Mind-control through the water supply? The New World Order? or any other intersting theories ? What's the craziest theory? Can any theories actually be proven with a little research?

I always think that anybody can use the facts to fit the argument, it's worked very successfully with history for instance. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Nazca Desert in South America (I think I've spelt that wrong) but there are literally giant lines carved into the ground and if you view them from the air they are actually pictures of animals and there is a rather famous one of a naked man carved into a hill or dune. Alien conspiracy theorists have been arguing for years that it is actually an alien landing site and cite various things such as the size of the drawings etc and point various unusual artifacts such as abnormally shaped skulls to prove their point. A few years ago the BBC did a documentary on it and it scared the bejaysus out of me, they almost had me convinced that there could have an alien visit but then in the second half of the documentary, they used the same evidence and some anthropological and historical knowledge to prove that the giant pictures had been created by a society desparately in need of rain attempting to appease their gods. So who should we believe? For the most part I think conspiracies are just harmless fun but I agree with Tartanwizard, this capitalism thing is getting out of hand.
Ah.... the Bilderberg conspiracy? Have a read of Jon Ronson's book on the subject, there was also a fascinating TV series... Or indeed you could make a visit to the website of ex Coventry City goal keeper and TV presenter david Icke.... bizarre! The most talked about and in my opinion most likely to be proved true conspiracy is the assassination of JFK. One of the easiest to debunk is the moon landings conspiracy (I'm sure someone will mention it!) my current favourtie is Who is Harry's dad?....
Surely, Moog, Harry's Dad is more a matter of cock-up than conspiracy!
The conspiracy to promote the bland, unambitious and lowest common denominator over the passionate, intelligent, innovative.

Literature, music, stage, radio, film, television, you name it...

Actually, Tartanwizard already covered this by saying Global Capitalism. It sucks. I'm deeply fed up of seeing excellence ignored in favour of the marketable.

Give me something worth caring about!!!!

Actually, I'm seriously thinking of starting a pro-good music campaign, and calling it 'fuller not Fuller'...

It's like someone went into the Library, threw out all the decent adult books and said, 'But we've left the children's library for you...' and then applied this model to everything else.

Children's books are fine for children, of course. But I'm an adult. Why do most of the things getting marketed actively insult my intelligence?

Moon landings

JFK

The US government's cover-up of the existence of Rods

Harry and Hewitt

Di and Dodi and the MI5

Man City's manager, some kids and the News of The World exclusive that keeps getting pulled by their lawyers

the list is endless if you want to believe

Aliens, however, are not a conspiracy. There is no way that we are the only race alive in the massive galaxy in which we live.

Quite literally eh geofbob, just spent an amusing half hour trawling the net for conspiracy theories, I would suggest it to anyone who is bored over lunch time... some great sites out there!
Actually my favourite conspiracy theory was the one about the Teletubbies. Apparently they are actually being held captive in Teletubby land or whatever it's called. There are drugs in the tubbytustard to keep them subdued and the windmill is actually giving off mind control waves, while the vacuum cleaner thingie, the toaster and various other appliances are spying on them and reporting back to the windmill on their behaviour. That frantic waving at the end of the programme is actually the poor old Teletubbies trying to catch our attention so that they can tell us about their plight, the drugs apparently don't last that long but unfortunately the programme is coming to an end and the whole process begins again once the credits are over. Now the programmes been cancelled makes you wonder what's happened to them.
.........and today's topical conspiracy, alledgedly from the mouth of the Queen:

'Watch out Paul Burrell, there are dangerous people out there - and we don;t know who they are.'

The truth is out there.........
I reckon IDS being elected as Conservative Party leader - ahead of heavyweights like Clarke and Portillo - was due to a New Labour conspiracy.
I do realize, (realise for Spellmaster) that Tellytubby Dipsy is there to encourage dipsomaniacs, Tinky Winky is a gay icon, Po was modelled on an Edgar Allen Poe character in 'The Duc De L'omelette' and La La is a singer called Toyah willcox. Or maybe that's a conspiracy too.
How about - how come roy beggs is still an MP after that fiasco with the ballyrickard dump then eh? or One of the McKee 's as mayor heaven's above if that ain't a consipancy i don't know what is.
froggequene...they share my son's bed. He doesn't drug them though but they do say sing strange things in the dead of night.....
i urge you all to look again at the 9/11 Pentagon crash scene and ask why there is no plane debris. Also, why of the three crashes that day were all the flights only 27% full? Unheard of on American internal flights.Have to dash, a black helicopter keeps circling my house and there are 3 men in suits and shades parked outside.
