Don't think so are u thinking of Python lea jackson in a broken dream?

No Dot, Rod did play harmonica on Millie's My Boy Lollipop in, omigawd, 1964. At the time he was playing harmonica as a member of the band Jimmy Powell and the Five Dimensions, and got the gig as a session musician.
Obviously you put this in the History section instead of Music because Rod Stewart is an ancient relic.
How do you get from "My boy Lollipop" to "In a broken dream"?............weird!!
Cos Rod sang In A Broken Dream (Python Lee jackson)

Well sorry Dot, I don't see your logic in connecting Python Lee Jackson to Millie Small. Anyway - and you can take this with a pinch of salt if you like, but I promise none of it is Bovine excretia. I actually work with a friend of Rod's - he lives in Epping as does Rod (when he is in the country), and he referee's for Rod (true fans will know he has a full size pitch at his home) as well as going on some social functions with him.

Anyway, I asked him if he could check it out for me, and as he had to call him anyway to check on arrangements for a game this weekend, he did just that. Straight from the man's mouth, Rod DID play harmonica on that track back then.

Most definately, yes. This question is often posed in Pub Quizes and the details are to be found in numerous music encyclopedia/history books. Try www.allexperts.com and ask one of their music experts to confirm this. I hope this is of help to you.
