He wrote a whole load of vague wishy-washy nonsense which was very cryptic and in the form of four-line verses. It is all very open to interpretation, and a lot of the verses can be made to fit events which have already happened. They are not specific enough to be used to predict real things that are in the future.

thanks for that answer. i remember my mate gettin freaked out cuz apparently he predicted the twin towers, but my answer to that was that anyone could have seen the predictions and got ideas from it and/or copied the so called prediction
The so called "predictions" of Nostradamus are the biggest load of claptrap ever dreamt up by mankind.

It is pure nonsense

One of the verses says

"The Angle that is a Rune shall be dethroned
On the Cloth of Vert in the Sixth of The Third and
The Man of Cots shall be sorely Vex'd
With the Viking Son"

Spooky eh?

i all so wonder about this bloke somehow he predictied 9/11 would happen and other major life changing events, some people belive it, i think its all bull

I believe he predicted death and destruction for the 'New City', which some interpreters have said is New York, which in turn, could be said to be the Twin Towers.

But the operative word here is 'could'.

.... and here he is ........

How could I ever have been stupid enough to doubt such wise words
Well, now, Nostradamus was Michel de Nostradame born 1503 died 1566. His work of prophecies is now called "The Centuries" and consists of thousands of quatrains - four lined verses. His most famous modern one clearly predicts the rise and fall of Hitler and Mussolini -

"Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers,
The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister.
Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn,
When the child of Germany observes nothing".

Nostrodamus wrote about historical events and events of his time, without using actual names of people or places, in a fictional way and called them predictions.

The New City which everyone (usually always Americans who don't like to be left out of history - look where they think Atlantas was...)... believes is New York could have also referred to Naples which came from the Greek Neapolis, meaning.... New City.

As someone once said, Nostradamus is "100% accurate at predicting events after they happen."

Yeah Nostro's predictions can be explined, there was a tv programme on a few years ago explaining that his predictions were based on events from him time: he warns of the 'reds' which every1 thought he meant the commi's, but in fact referred to th cardinals/church of his day. Hister apparently were a ferocious tribe/town local to Germany that were always causing trouble, quite interesting. And as for his best known prediction, the ending of the world? well that sure fizzled didnt it?
You must think about the position this guy was in before saying he was a hoax - 16th century guy has crazy visions - he's not gona know what a skyscraper is - so he puts it in terms of his modern day counterparts - big brothers who fall into fire - they didn't knwo about planes or bombs - when you take that into acount everything becomes clearer - mind you, hindsight also does that, which I think has a biger part to play.
There is alot of money to be made from doubt and phropecy.
