Nothing at all was written about Jesus during his supposed lifetime, nor are there any eye- or ear-witnesses to anything he did or said. And where do you get the "4 or more different versions"?
The Wedding at Cana story is told in the anonymous gospel called "John" written at the turn of the 1st Century when everyone connected with the Jesus story would have been dead for decades.
Of course it might have happened, just as Cinderella might have gone to the ball and Snow White might have found seven dwarfs. But we have no reason to suppose it.

Whiffey...How perceptive. Both Christians and Muslims claim a common start with Abraham. Abraham's father was Terah who did NOT worship a single God but was probably a worshipper of other multiple gods. It was Abraham who started worshipping a single spiritual God without the use of statues or Icons. So God recognised this and chose Abraham as the father of his special people. What they called themselves is un-important, but we know of them as Hebrews or Jews. Almighty God was never a Jew. But he arranged for his son, Jesus, to be born into the Jewish race. The Muslim faith, Islam, originated from the first son [Ishmael]of Abraham by his serving girl, Hagar. God had promised Abraham that he and Sarah, his wife, would be parents themselves. This did happen when Sarah was very old and she thought she was past child bearing age. this son, Abraham's second, was Isaac, from whom the Jews originated. The teaching that Jesus is God himself is totally confusing and incorrect.
Also, pugwash, it is no doubt pleasant for you to enjoy myth and legend but you might like to look occasionally at what we know of history and fact. If Abraham ever existed as a real person (and we have no way of knowing that) he would not have heard of God because his supposed time was one when the Jews worshipped quite a few gods. It was about 700-800 BC that they decided to become monotheistic and opted for the god of southern Israel, YHWH or Yahweh or, later, Jehovah, who then became God. So naturally the unknown writers of the Old Testament wrote only about him. (This sudden change is the basis of the first Commandment.)
Interesting, isnt it, to wonder why the chap who is supposed to have created the whole universe 12,000,000,000 years ago then allowed himself to be demoted to the status of a minor deity, to be partially restored less than 3000 years ago to become the god of just a part of the human race? But then fairy-tales are full of amusing things like that.
