Hi raysparx1 near the road marking of the Tyburn tree site in Oxford street if you walk a short distance you will see Tyburn Convent, in the crypt they have a great number of relics from the hangings, and the history of all the people its very interesting to see, am not sure of the opening times as I once stayed in guest house, I believe the first sunday of the month they have a conducted tour and talk if you look at Tyburn Convent site will find out more and could contact them for opening times its well worth a visit.
Hello raysparx 1 so glad to be of help, I will go again to Tyburn, have had a look at their website and they have added a lot and all the relics and pictures there and 3 times a day to see the relics and its free, hope you enjoy your visit, I do like London but not been for sometime They are very friendly and helpful at Tyburn and will answer questions and they have leaflets telling you about the relics once a year there is a march in London each year in memory of Tyburn tree not sure when but a lot of top people join it.
Cheers pega,
Tyburn fascinated me as a kid, partly because of the Highwaymen hanged there, but also when Oliver Cromwells body was dug up they hung him at tyburn then took his body down and chopped his head off, all the people that go past it, I bet hardly any have even heard of it,
thanks again, I looked at the website, very interesting, Ray
