This website has a lot of writings about the Goddess energies and their influence today, it is quite likely there might be something about her here. Amara xx

Just a thought-all you cat-lovers seem really nice people! Catso, is your cat actually called Bastet? And, inapickle, I'm glad that there are other folks out there who have huge collections of cat-related items in their homes. We have cats everywhere and my husband (who adores our 3 moggies but doesn't like clutter) dreads me coming home from a car boot sale with yet more feline figurines!! Amara, I had a look at that link you sent-its very interesting-thanx for that. Better go-time to feed the cats, bless 'em xx
It's me again-oh gawd not her again, you all say! The reason I am interested in The Cult of Bast is as follows. Just recently, following an invasion of noisy grandchildren, one of our cats went missing.. She rarely leaves the vicinity of our house so for 11 days, we were thinking the worst. In a strange moment, I lit a candle beside my sculpture of Bastet and simply said "Please, guide Callie home safely". 2 hours later, in came Callie, thin and dirty but otherwise fine. I really believe that somehow asking for help from Bastet helped. Crazy? Maybe but who cares eh?
I have always been very interested in this subject and am even more so now.

In ancient times, cats were worshipped as Gods, they have not forgotten this.

Hi Whickerman. When you say that Bast is your house-Goddess, do you mean that you ask her for guidance and worship her? I am a believer in the power of the Goddesses and wonder how to thank Bast for the safe return of our missing cat. I am a novice in this and would welcome any suggestions. Its good to know that there are so many people out there who still have faith in the Old belliefs.
Mazzywoo - have you come across the Doreen Virtue books and oracle cards - There is a book called Goddesses and Angels (or Angels and Goddesses I can't remember which way round) The goddess oracle cards are beautiful. There are an ever increasing number of people who are talking to and harnessing the power of Angels and Goddesses. We need to if the earth is going to survive. Amara xx
Hi Amara-thanks for that. As I say, I am a complete beginner in all this but have a deep interest and have read a lot on the subject. It just seemed that Bast did help us after our cat being missing for so long and I need to thank Her properly and reverently. You obviously have great faith in the power of the Goddesses yourself! x
Yes I do and in angels too. All we have to do is ask for help and we will get it, as was proved to you when your cat went missing. As I said I call on them every day for guidance, protection and even parking spaces, you would be amazed how many people have laughed at me for using the "parking angel" and then told me afterwards that they tried it and it worked for them too. They are there for everyone and the more you connect with them the easier and more joyful your life will become. Much love - Amara xx
