don't let the question vex you too much, its good that you care and don't ever stop but you can care without letting it get to you.
rather use these emotions to try to do something about these things, no matter how small, it all helps.
unfortunately human beings just never have and never will get it quite right, there will always be some who seek to destroy rather than build and as we are essentially animals just like all other animals we live by instinct and what we think we know - which unfortunately dooms us to repeat the mistakes of our anscestors.
also not enough of us think deeply enough and care enough about these things for them to ever change - part of human nature is also to think everything is somebody elses problem...

and just a tip, you will get shot down in flames by some people on here if you use text speak - some members get very bothered by it...
