Very small rocks; wood; a duck?
MediEVIL churches were surely made of fire & brimstone.
Almost always made in stone and wood. The main load bearing walls would be made from stone with the roof made from wooden joists and beams.
not many wooden churches left from medieval times, because wood doesn't last as long as stone. So mostly stone.

The ones in Dorset consist mainly of flint and stone, so I imagine it would be similar around the country.
