period pains (lower back)

im suffering with period pains at the moment in my lower back especially. has anyone tried any remodies that ACTUALLY work, i think iv asked this Q before but cant find it in the search box !

Such a method can be murder in summer but now it's getting colder is bearable - certainly better than the dreaded pain itself!
I've tried so many other remedies and recall numerous painkillers prescribed to me that were about as affective as sherbert. You can bet your life that if men had periods, they would get one week off a month and morphine jabs on the NHS!

Hot water bottle for me as well - or if you are able run a warm to hot bath and sit in there for a while? I usually find that helps to relax me.
I'd also advocate complaing loudly, have a good moan to anyone around and allowing your hormones let rip! Doesn't cure the pain but psychologically it always makes me feel a lot better!
