If you are interested I was about to get married at the time so I was floating along on a pink cloud when you were born Donegal. I got married on 1st August '86. I was working as a chauffeur at the time.

I was a couple of days into my second tour of Northern Ireland in the Army.

Probably still celebrating as Liverpool had won the league and cup double that year!

Oh - just remembered - the World Cup was that year, in Mexico, it was where the Mexican Wave started. When I went to the Charity Shield at Wembley (Liverpool v Everton) in August it was a really boring game, the only entertainment came from the crowd doing the Mexican Wave - probably for the first time in this country.

FYI spudqueen the "Mexican wave " started in US college sports stadia long before 1986.

I was in Santa Ponsa ,Majorca with my then girlfriend,now wife,on our first holiday abroad.
My team,West Bromwich Albion had just been relegated from the top division,and England failed at the World Cup.

20 years later we've had a holiday in Majorca,West Brom have been relegated from the top division,and England have failed at the World Cup!

i was also born on the 4 of july but in 1962 i was in daytona beach florida getting ****** out of my head for free! some bars over there celebrate independence day with free alcohol to those who can prove its thier birthday,get yourself over there buddy!!!
