Is there a local element to your question? i.e. is there a Woodfields close to you? Or a particular Woodfields you are referring to? Otherwise it might be hard to come up with an answer!
This question was asked on 26th June by the same questioner as today and, a few days later, by someone nicknamed 'Peterpansy'. On both occasions, Einstein asked - just as you've done here, Mike - for further information to narrow the search. In neither case was such information forthcoming. Presumably, therefore, there is no further information to be had. Given that two apparently different people asked the question, it probably comes from a magazine quiz or somesuch.

Come on, Valeman...if you' ve got more info, spill the beans!

I wonder whether the word 'born' might be used figuratively here. JRR Tolkien was living in a house called 'Woodfields' near Hurst Green in Lancashire in the early 1960s, when he was writing the first volume of 'The Lord of the Rings'. Could the answer to the question, therefore, possibly be 'Frodo Baggins'? He was perhaps 'born' there in the sense of being 'brought to life'. Click http://www.visitnorthwest.com/pressDisplay.asp?atk

(I forgot to say in my earlier answer that the question was in the 'People & Places' category on previous appearances.)

mikewith and quizmonster....thanks for your efforts so far...yes it is a quiz question and i have no other info
I also found that JRRT was at Woodfields, but also that Conan Doyle was there when he wrote Sherlock Holmes stories, so I'm split between the two at the moment.
