In Scarborough there is a Plantation Hill, which is now a park.

Why is it called this? Was the area once used for wood production?

The best way to find this out is to look at old maps of the area to see what differnt uses there has been on the land. Also old photos and news papercutting may help find your answer the best place to find these is your loacl libary or records office. Hope this helps.
