I think Robert Harris wrote such a what-if scenario and it was a best seller. It was called "Fatherland", I believe.
There has been at least one television programme made to point out what might have happened. If Great Britain had been conquered there would have been a governor appointed by the Nazis and everyone would be controlled in a similar fashion to other occupied countries. But let me tell you they would have had a very rough time by underground resistance groups. This country would never have knuckled down! As to the world, in no way could this have been possible.
There would be less bad grammar.
In the 1970's the surviving Staff Officers from the British and German Armies met at Sandhurst and had a war game excercise where they deployed the forces that they had at the time, eveything was as it was in 1940 (had Hitler given the order for Operation Sea Lion to go ahead). It was found that after the Royal Navy (then the 2nd largest navy in the world) + the RAF had decimated the German navy and landing craft, there would have been a period of intense combat, with the Germans taking massive casualties and very little or no logistical support. After aprox 3 weeks the Germans would have been exhausted and forced to retreat or surrender. Even if they had won, the Germans would need to occupy Great Britain, fight both the USSR and the USA so it seems very unlikely that they would have conquered the world
Chances are, we would be speaking Russian, not German. Hitler was always going to lose the plot, and Stalin wouldn't.

There is a good book, What If? , where some historians have written essays on historic events. A decent read is Stephen Fry's Making History, for entertainment value
to see what really happened, just watch the star trek episode from the original series where a man from earth introduced naziism to another planet. it just doesn't work. take it from captain kirk, bro!
They would have stopped all those re-runs of the 1966 World Cup Final.
you wouldn't be able to ask your question vice versa. Adolph and Hermann would have probably been the world most popular names for boys, and not Mohammed or Khled
Ich wurde nicht sage Gott auer der Knigin, wrde ich Gott auer Hitler anstatt sagen mssen.

(in English: I would not be able to say god save the queen, i would have to say god save Hitler instead,)
A film was made in the early 1960s called It Happened Here.
However the film concentrated mainly on the problems of living in a Nazi state, rather than on whether the occupation could hold.

It rather assumed that a puppet government was installed, along the lines of Vichy France.
Herr Hurst would still have got his hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup Final at Wembley.
If the Nazis had stopped at their half of Poland, and moved their efforts west, the Russians wouldn't have entered the war. The UK would've been conquered, and after a period the eastern front would have opened up. There would likely have been a union between the Russians and Germans - similar to the agreement reached over Poland, and the war effort could then have been focussed on backing Japan against the US.
Everyone would have blonde hair and blue eyes, except for Hitlers decendants.
Unless they used hair dye and wore contact lenses.

They would probably have introduced CCTV in public places, a massive DNA database and a hugely expensive system of biometric identity cards linked to a computer database.
jenstar has really got to the core of the point. History changes little.
I would never have been born...and my parents and grandparents would have been sent to concentration camps.
If the Nazis had invaded England? There've been multiple reconstructions that demonstrate that although it would've been costly, it would've been highly unlikely that they would've been successful (plus you have to remember we had plenty of colonies to flee to and continue the war from, which I believe Churchill had planned in such an eventuality)

If the Nazis had conquered the world? The Germans were never going to win with Hitler at their helm. With someone more competent - who can say? But they weren't going to win under Hitler (and somebody more competent would've likely ended the war - as advocated staunchly to Hitler by von Rundstedt and by Rommel).
We wouldn't have Human Rights lawyers protecting the rights of terrorists cos they'd all be hanged.Zieg Heil!
