Who knows the name ofthis person: Born as a Buddhist in India he later convertad to Islam and became a prominent moslem commander.

One of the Khans I would guess. I know Mahmud Ghazan (Mahmud Khan) was a Buddhist who converted to Islam but I think he was born in Iran.
