I need to know all about Egypt. Can anyone direct me to a good website that lets me know about it? I plan on becoming an Egyptologist and can't seem to find a nice, easy, place to start. Thanks!

You should start by looking in the prospectus for your local college who will probably run courses on Egyptology and once you have your B units you can get to university and do the course. in the meantime, you would be better watching the Sky documentaries, there are many, and go to the library and read up on it.

Ask your mummy, she might know. But, seriously, why not type 'Egypt' into your browser and surf along......Amazing, years ago I was also fascinated with Ancient Egypt....Enjoy your research.
I always wanted to be an Egyptologist when I was in school but I got older, things changed... *sigh* !! :)

But I'm still fascinated by the place...

Here are a couple of websites that I have found very interesting -

View archaeological sites in 3d!

Are you in the UK? Then register for tickets to see Tutankhamun when he comes to London in November '07 !

Good ol' Wikipedia... Plenty of links there

Lots of basic info here...

...and here!

Hope you find something of interest....
Start with Caesar then work forwards or backwards. Backwards probably better.
When I was looking at it there was only one university that ran an Egyptology degree course in the country, I think it was London University.

Interesting subject but not the sort of career you will find many jobs for in the paper.
