Is there anywhere you can find someones National Service Record?

You can send off for it. If the person themself applies, the records are free. If someone else applies, there is a �30 charge and you have to provide proof of death and you have to be next of kin (or get the person that is to sign the form).

I got my dad's for free as he signed the form for me.
Go to the Veterans website where you can download a form to complete but you will have to know basic details. I have just received my own details after about 20 days.

Thanks for the info, it is my dads national service record i want, but he died 1970 so will have a go at downloading the form .
