No, no deaths, but just over 200 injured, mainly by flying glass
Didnt the bomb manage to shift the Arndale Ce, 10 centimetres ?
It also went swing-swong and this meant the cladding which was hung on hooks all dislodged. and this smashed a lot of glass.

we were all told to get our ars+s out of the city
and Oxford Road - seems amazing that in 1996 we didnt all have phones or digital cameras - was competely emptyof traffic with only a trickle of pedestrians on both sides of the carriageway filing out of the city.

The police and parking attendants then plastered the abandoned cars with parking tickets. Now THAT's how you get a bombed population on your side !
No, enough warning was given although people were cut by flying glass. I live in Salford and could see the smoke from my flat, I was actually on a bus in Salford when the bomb went off.
