Sir Francis Drake on the tele in about 1962, we watched it every week.
its an interesting story why he changed the name of the ship.......... he excecuted a companion, thomas doughty i think his name was... after that he thought of the grief of the execution when he returned to england so he changed the name to the golden hind coz a golden hind was the symbol in the coat of arms of the man who i think put sire doughty involed in the venture... looks like it worked..... drake, what a hero !
