At the start of World War 1 which branch of the military only had 50 soldiers? I need this answer very quickly and I think that it might be an American question. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you Mustafa Tickl for your prompt response to my question. I am not sure if this is the correct answer, but it appears to be the most likely one, so I will go ahead with that.
Thank you once again.
To be a little more specific, the Aeronautical Division of the U.S. Army Signal Corps was created in 1907 and, in turn, created the Aviation Section of the Signal Corps in July 1914. In 1914 the Section had 8 airplanes and 14 qualified pilots, while France had 260 aircraft and 171 pilots, followed by Britain with 29 aircraft and 88 pilots...
The US Army Signals Corpd were founded in 1860. They were prominent in the US Civil War & the USSpanish war, They became airborne in 1907. However, the Americans did not enter WW1 till after 1917, when the Russian troops decided they were needed back home.
