Where to submit an old recording...

I recently found an old record at the tip, an amateur recording from 1953 by a Lewellyn Rhys (possibly - can't read the handwriting) arguing against the campaign to ban fox-hunting. It's in the form of a heavy old record, but even though, unfortunately, there's white bloom over both surfaces it still plays reasonably well. You can certainly make out the words, although there's crackle. It's about twenty minutes long, I think, and I thought an archive would be interested. It's certainly a very interesting point of view he has, and fifty years before fox-hunting was actually banned I thought it might have curiosity value.

The first name that sprung to mind was the Internet Archive, but would they accept the record and transfer it into computer audio form? Does the BBC have an archive who'd take it, or the British Museum, or a library? Any of those names might seem ridiculous, but I really don't know who to go to first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the BBC does have a sound archive, but mostly of their own recordings.You could try the British Library's

You might try a dedicated archive rather than the BBC who haven't had the best of track records for preserving material.
