Does anyone know all the slang names and what amount they represent i.e. Pony, Monkey, etc.

Does anyone know though why a Pony is 25 and a monkey is five hundred? I can't think of any word to follow monkey that rhymes with five hundred

Duuno about the Pony - but when the English Empire was up and running in India - the 500 rupee note had a Monkey on it. That's where it comes from.
