I can't help you with the above but I have a cottage dated roughly 1680.

We had to redo a floor and found a coin (George II ha'penny I think) in each corner (obviously planted there for luck) other finds were clealy lost, silk bobbins, a thimble but the fireplace beam has a symbol scratched into it that we subsequently found in a book as a superstition mark.

It's a circle containing 3 overlaid figures of 8 kind of looks like a daisy.

Seems to have been to stop the devil coming down the chimney or something. (I wonderred why Santa always missed us)
i found a stash of dirty magazines behind an old imersion heater a few years back in our house when we were installing new central heating,

quite funny really, must have been from the late seventies/early eighties judging by the hairstyles.
Took up a small floor here - 10" x 10" to a depth of three feet.

Found: 38 empty milk of magnesia bottles, 14 shoe polish tins, and one (very very flat) bicycle!

Apparently they used to put glass under floors as they thought rats could tunnel up and this would deter them. I have no idea about the bike!
We found the skull of a cat under the floor boards in our old house, no other bones just the skull so it didnt get trapped and die down there, must have been placed there. House would have been about 150 years old.
Just waiting for the full inventoried answer from the owners of a certain Childrens home in Jersey....
When I had a new roof on my house (built 1860) we found a rough stone bottle, complete with cork, that had belonged to one of the original builders.
