lamp-post early 20th century
I have got a 1920s? lamppost with the following markings - 12 and a half o EFLA patn
I would like to find out more about it. Was it converted from a gas lamp post to electric, I wonder?
What do the markings mean?
I really need pictures of lamp-posts from this period, as I would like to renovate it, but can't find any UK ones on the internet.
Has anyone got any thoughts please?

ESLA - Electrical Street Lighting Apparatus. They made street lighting lanterns, brackets and columns from the early 1920s through to the 1950s.
See http://www.simoncornwell.com/lighting/manufact /esla/index.htm for more about the firm, and http://www.simoncornwell.com/lighting/collect/ lanterns/index.htm for restored ESLA lanterns in my collection.
