i got 14 days jail but they sent me to the 5th inaskillen dragoon guards to do it instead of our guardroom , that i assure you was no joke ,my sense of humour suffered for a few hours but pte Thom was there with me as he got 14 days for the same charge. i suppose it was better than doing it on my own, mind you he still managed to drop me in it with the rp staff.
4GS the mk1s had that as well but we were told never to pull it because it would ruin the engine and as they caught fire on a daily basis it would have been counterproductive , you just opened the inspection hatch and used the stock of small fire extinguishers that we carried . it worked every time.
5 skins? were there any Micks there? it was full of English blokes every time I saw them.
I always say that if civvie jails were like the slammers we had there would be no re-offenders, the tales I could tell
You didn't miss much, I always preferred my trusty old SLR or Gimmpy, being left handed meant I could fire them naturally, they brought in that article and In had to learn how to fire it right handed.
In Munster did you go to the Manhatten bar, opposite the Banhoff?
sorry tiggerblue10, i thought this would happen, we always talk in abrevations to each other and anyone who hasn,t been in has a job following the conversation . let me know what you don't understand and i will tell you but it is only boring stuff reallyl . well to a to a civy(i am not trying to patronise you by the way)
4GS I used to go to the pub on the right outside oxford barracks also the ferdistall, the sportsmans , the black sheep, stukkies, and a shnelimbiss whos name eludes me, we used to go about midnight to town to the black sheep, they only played the rolling stones in an endless loop, we stayed till about 6 am then went back to camp , quick wash and shave and then on parade for 70.30 am , bliss.
