I was under the impression Jeffrey Archer lost his peerage due to his run in at her majesty's pleasure. If so why is the BBC still calling him lord?

He is still a lord. Peerages cannot be removed once given (without an act of parliament).
However, their is still time - keep an eye on the news!
THERE please is not still time..if the USA cannot lose one or two of its ill gotten Olympics medals even at Athens in this enlightened age then why should a very decent chap like Archer lose his title..sorry, did he tell the truth or something..oh right got it...didn't play the game!! Cheers
humming bird, you must be the very fragrant Mary Archer!!
I don't think Archer could tell the truth if you asked him the time. But he is still a lord and I expect will be when he dies.
