First Hoover washing machine was 1948, so that's 60 years.

However, the Hoover brand here in Europe has had nothing to do with the Hoover US corporation since 1993, and has been owned by Whirlpool (Phillips) and then Candy in the interim, and their washing machines are now actually the Candy ones with a different badge on.

Just fyi - the 'US' corporation is now Hong Kong owned.
