The Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment were intellectual movements started by Europe elitist circles whose impact on Western Civilization went far beyond their small numbers in society. How do you account for the long-lasting legacies of those movements?

I do love finding out what's in other people's coursework. You might challenge the obvious eurocentricity of this course by examining the impact of Greek / late Antique philosophers on Persian thinking at the time of the rise of Christianity.
