i have already posted questions concerning this item, perhaps i need to be more specific.four wise monkeys Mizaru(see no evil)Mazaru(speak no evil)Mikazaru(hear no evil)Iwazaru(know no evil).were there four?& if true why did the fourth disappear?

Hi Keith, to my opinion, the origin is the "three monkeys" as can be seen in Nikko and other places in Japan. The fourth monkey has probably been invented by the "souvenir industry". Do you collect No Evils? I do collect them over 25 years and have more than 1700 sets. Regards, koshin.
