What do you mean by "existing order of the 20th century world"? The most important spin-off of Marcon's discovery was probably radio broadcasting, which didn't get really get underway until the 1920s. Within the previous 25 years, the automobile had come into common use; manned flight had been achieved, and commercial air services were starting; the First World War had occurred with tremendous loss of life; there had been world-shaking revolution in Russia; and women in the West were making enormous strides in taking over their own lives. So, radio certainly made a great impact, but the pre-radio world was about as "ordered" as the world is today.
