Winnie, apparently.
A similar question was recently asked & I replied that Winston Churchill used to suffer from depression & referred to it as 'the black dog'. Personally, I don't know of any other famous person using that expression.
Apparently winston churchill said that "black dog" was his term for depression.. i'd never have known that if it hadnt been for the Manic Street Preachers song "Black Dog On My Shoulder"
