Hill 147 The Somme Location
Does anyone know where I can find a map showing Hill 147 on the Somme where my great uncle was killed?

There is an excellent book entitled "First Day On The Somme" by Martin Middlebrook, published in 1972 by W.W Nortan and Co. Whether it specifically mentions Hill 147 I don't know. However, it goes into great detail about the battle and contains numerous photographs and line-drawings of various engagements.
