Someone at work reminded me of birds pecking the lids off milk bottles. I remember my mum leaving empty yoghurt pots for the milkman to place over the bottles to combat this.

I now have to tenuously turn this into a question.

What other things have you recently be reminded of from your childhood recently?

I startled my hubby a few weeks ago when, out driving, I saw a cycle parked upright in the gutter, pedal on the kerb.

Don't think many do that with a bike these days and it took me back years......

I think WhiteBear's got it though. I remember playing in knee-deep snow when I was a child, and was only saying today how we only seem to get feeble offerings these days.

lol bez - you just reminded me - if you are stingy with the butter on the toast, my Dad always calls it 'Auntie's Toast' cos his aunts would never put much butter on!! :-))
