What will history call this decade? USA Today had a poll and 'The Aughts' won. I'm sure we can do better.

I have read in newspapers the name "the naughties" but I think it's terrible.
The Aughts might work in the states or in Northumberland, but for the rest of us it sounds like we should be doing something......how about the zilches?
My parents, born 1900 and 1905, referred to the period 1900-1909 as the 'nineteen-hundreds', followed by the 'nineteen-tens', then the twenties, thirties and so on. Sometimes this was changed to 'it happened in oh-five, or oh-eight'. On this basis, 2000 to 2009 should be called the 'two-thousands', although it doesn't sound as natural as the previous century's version.
The period between 1900 and 1910 was known as 'the turn of the century'. Perhaps between 2000 and 2010 it will be the same.
