the original Britons were from Belgium, long before Christ. The Romans invaded before and after Christ as others have said. Angles, SDaxons and Jutes invaded in the first millennium after the Roman authorities had pulled out; Vikings followed a couple of centuuries later. William the Conqueror's Normans arrived in 1066.
There haven't been any such invasions since; there have been minor incursions, transfers of power (William III was James II's son-in-law and was basically invited in; but he and his troops weren't a real invasion), and failed invasions such as the Battle of Britain (which was a softening up for a full invasion that never happened).
