I haven't, but it looks worthwhile if you are ever in the region. Haute-Vienne is one of those regions of France which has been prosperously agricultural in the past. The result is that it has some old, beautiful, villages which are well preserved.Google 'Haute-Vienne tourism' and you'll find a number of sites which give the flavour of the area.
There was actually one survivor (a teenaged girl if memory serves) she'd been out of town shopping, when the bus arrived by Oradour-sur-glane the operation had begun.
She approached a Sergeant on guard and asked to enter as she lived there, the guard told her she couldn't as there was a military operation going, the girl again insisted saying her family were in there, the guard repeated and said "no, go away, there's nothing for you in there anymore".
It's renowned as the only act of kindness that day.
Perversely some people are fans of Das Reich (the unit responsible) I work with one.
