I don't know if anyone can help. Do you recognise the hotel? What do you think this is? I notice that there are no women or children present - perhaps a recruiting drive. Do you know what make car is? I'd like your ideas. Thank you all in advance.

We live on the Kent/Sussex bortder,and I agree with Zac that the building is half tile hung,something very common in Kent and Sussex.
Sadly(as yet) i cannot say just where it is.

Apart from the lady in the white coat, I can see a second lady. She is wearing a light coloured coat and is immediately to the left of the steering wheel.

Is that a pair of antlers over the porch of the hotel?

It is a strange shadow, at first I thought it was a reflection in an open tilted bedroom window. But how would they fix antlers to the stone canopy? You may be right, in which case the hotel could be the hinds head or something similar.

I was thinking it was a reflection of the people (if that's what they are) standing on the far porch.

I must say i am absolutely fascinated by this picture and all the possibilities! I am imagining King Edward V11 riding along behind the car in his amazing uniform with May of Teck at his side!

but the crowd are watching what is down the road and i am sure that's a photographer on top of that bay window. maybe this car had family in!

yes, you're quite right. It just seems odd that they'd issue a postcard of the monkey instead of the organ-grinder, so to speak. But perhaps they made cards of everyone in the parade (if there was a parade).

now I didn't think this was a postcard, i thought this looked like a small photo, horseshoes said they had postcards posted in 1907 though, i'd like to see those too actually
