Yes, that is what I thought, but the telegraph crossword clue has 9 letters, not eight. The only clue I have is the fourth letter is N,

It is Lyonnesse but you spell it with two 'n's

As a side point, I understand it's bad form to call them the 'Scilly Islands' and the Islanders consider it quite rude. They should be referred to as the Isles of Scilly, or just Scilly. It was on some holiday programme or other.
