Explain why libya and tunisia are different politically even though they are both well off economically.

Is this your homework?
Could be because Libya is run by a megalomaniac nutcase with total control over the armed forces, whereas Tunisia makes some concessions to democracy. Also, Tunisia is, I am am told, quite a nice place to go to on holiday, unlike Libya.
I heard it was based on the quality of the rugs.
Tunisian rugs are of a much higher standard than Libyian rugs.

Benjamin this is the third question about north african countries that I have seen - now I am sure that it is homework. Why post them all separately? - this sounds like a whole raft of questions. I am sorry but you are pushing your luck.
