Do maps still exist with the names of the major landowners? I have been to antique print shops where they often have maps of the United Kingdom showing that Lord So-and-So owns such a shire or so. I am wondering if they are still around.

I think the Land Reform has more or less abolished this (currently exercised in Scotland).  Apparently in 2004, 69% of British Land is owned by individuals (mostly aristocracy).

The UK's top five landowners
(excluding the Crown Estate, the Ministry of Defence and the Forestry Commission)

Duke of Buccleuch
Acreage: 270,900
Value: 598m

Estate of Atholl dukedom
Acreage: 147,000
Value: 200m

Duchy of Cornwall
Acreage: 141,000
Value: 480m

Duke of NorthumberlandAcreage: 132,000
Value: 463m

Duke of Westminster(excl London) Acreage: 129,000
Value: 450m

There is a large resource of maps at the British Library, but depending on the county, you may be able to find 'estate maps' for that county.
