Who decided what the 7 wonders of the world were?

I think the salt mines in Poland should be on there and wish to email this person advis ehim of such!

the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World was probably chosen by Herodotus in about 490BC (he probably doesn't have an email address)

If you mean a slightly more modern list, then there are several, including lists made by American Society of Civil Engineers, the New7Wonders Foundation, USA Today and CNN amongst others.

Salt mines would seem to fit best into a list of the Seven Wonders of the Industrial World though and that list was complied by Deborah Cadbury
